Nourishing Breath Anthropology | Breathwork | Parental Brain Education
Grounded in breath, rooted in connection.
Nourishing Breath is a space for breathwork, connection, and self-awareness—for ourselves, our families, and the world around us. Through conscious breathing and nervous system awareness, we create room for presence, regulation, and connection. Nurturing both ourselves and those we care for.
Saskia Moët
Cultural Anthropologist | Breathwork Coach | Parental Brain Educator | Mother
I explore how our culture, our nervous system, and the way we nurture ourselves and our children are deeply intertwined. My work is rooted in understanding how societal norms shape the way we breathe, regulate, and relate to one another. This is especially relevant in matrescence and patrescence: the profound transformation that occurs when we become parents, when identity shifts and deep—often forgotten—instincts awaken. Reclaiming these instincts can be a path to both personal and collective healing.
I guide individuals, couples and parents in reconnecting with their bodies, navigating stress, and cultivating presence through breathwork, neuroscience, and anthropological insight. Moreover, I support overwhelmed parents in regulating their nervous systems, their growing parental brain, and creating calmer, more connected homes. Whether in one-on-one sessions, group workshops, or shared ceremonies, my intention is to offer breath as a tool for regulation, resilience, and connection.

— Create peace in your body, and clarity in your mind
Breathing is a direct pathway to influence how you feel, think, and connect. Modern neuroscience and ancient wisdom agree: your breath is one of the most powerful tools you have for regulating your nervous system, processing emotions, and creating balance between body and mind. Through intentional breathing, you can shift from survival mode (fight, flight, freeze) into states of rest, openness, and connection. Over time, this helps your body unlearn old patterns of stress and deepen your capacity to stay grounded.

— early parenting guidance
Calm Together is a body of work for parents of babies and toddlers (0–3) who want to grow into calm, connected parenting — even in the intensity of the early years. Rooted in parental brain education, nervous system awareness, and accessible breath practices, this work supports parents in meeting themselves and their children with presence, steadiness, and care.

A brain-based, breath-led approach to early parenting
The Calm Together Method™ is a brain-based nervous system framework designed for parents of babies and toddlers (0–3). It integrates an understanding of intergenerational and cultural patterns, education about the transforming parental brain, nervous system regulation science, and accessible breathwork practices. Rather than focusing only on child behavior, this method works on the parent’s nervous system first — because when the parent regulates, the relationship shifts. Through five structured stages, parents learn to understand their stress responses, regulate in real time, co-regulate with confidence, and repair without shame. The result is not perfect parenting — but calm, connected leadership.
The Calm Together guide gives busy parents easy, science-backed rituals to feel centered, connect deeply with their baby and partner, and create a home filled with safety, presence, and joy. You’ll learn how your parental brain is adapting for deeper connection, how societal expectations impact your sense of calm, and how a few intentional breaths each day can transform your home into a space of safety and presence—even in the overwhelm.

A short, gentle guide for early parents who feel overwhelmed and want to understand what’s happening in their nervous system, without pressure or fixing.

With a background in cultural anthropology, I have always been fascinated by the intersection of human culture, well-being, and resilience. But my real interest in somatics came through personal experience—years of mental and physical discomfort caused by a dysregulated nervous system, rooted in trauma. That healing journey led me to question everything I thought was “normal” and ignited my curiosity about the connection between the mind, body, and breath.
I began to deepen this work through matrescence—the transformation of becoming a mother. As I navigated the shifts in identity, body, and emotions, I found myself returning to our essence: breath. Breath became my tool for regulation and my way of creating a nurturing space for my family. This experience deepened my understanding of how nervous system healing and neurobiological changes are woven into the way we parent and connect. It was in this transition that Nourishing Breath was born.
As a coach, educator, and mother, my purpose is to hold space for you to reconnect with your body’s wisdom and innate ability to heal itself. Whether you’re seeking nervous system regulation, deeper self-awareness, or gently want to unlearn the patterns of our low-nurture culture, I’m here to help you discover the nourishing potential of your breath.
